Sunday 17th August: Nuriootpa
Wonderful day for golf, and a good turn-out (about 16 starters).
Well done to:
George Cleland: 37 points (off 11 h/cp)
Noel Wellman: 32
Bronte Milde: 31
Peter Pring, Ross Townsend and Noel Wellman 30
NTP: George Cleland (on the green by a whisker)
Long drive: Bronte Milde (as expected)
Wednesday 20/08/14: North Adelaide
Five starters on the perfect day for golf - 16C, sunny and calm. Don playing without being 100% back to full vision. Pretty ordinary scores.
Front nine: Pring (16)
Back nine: Milde and Pring (16)
Overall: Pring (32)
No birdies

Wednesday Competition
13/08/14: North Adelaide
A very good day for golf, with sunny and dry conditions, albeit with a cool breeze worth 1-2 clubs. The greens were surprisingly quick, with the 10th out of action (coring etc).
Groundhog Day:
Don crook & Kevin still injured, so just the same four starters as the last two games. Once more, Pring/Milde challenged Mensforth/Whicker. As expected, Damien & Greg triumphed yet again.
The individual scores were very ordinary, but the match was once again very close. The only aspect worth mentioning was Damien's front nine (17 points).

Wednesday Competition
06/08/14: North Adelaide
Couldn't get a more perfect day for golf - 16C, calm and sunny.
Still just the four starters, with Kevin's hand requiring several more weeks of recovery, and Don still a week or two away (although recovering well from the eye op and assisting as caddy/coach).
Same teams as last week and, as expected, a similar result (Mensforth/Whicker 3 down after nine, but 2 up after 18). We probably should have changed the pairings, but Damien & Greg are reluctant to pass up such easy money.
Front nine: Bronte (17) from Greg (15)
Back nine: Damien (17) - stood up when needed
Highlights:
Bronte: Birdie on par 4 third hole (a very long par 4 - holed a 70 metre wedge)
Greg: Birdie on par 4 fourth hole
Damien: Par 4 for 4 points on eighteenth (always clinical when under pressure)
