17/09/14: North Adelaide
Wonderful weather for golf. Still only the four starters, with a guest appearance by Ken Freestone.
Damien & Kenny simply murdered Bronte & Greg, mainly due to an absolute blinder by the old fox. Damien had one of those days golfers dream about - very consistent tee to green and couldn't miss a putt. Even the GolfLink computer asked for his score to be double-checked !!
Damien: 41 points (20/21/41).
Daylight second and third
23/09/14: North Adelaide
A Tuesday round in perfect weather (28C and sunny) to avoid possible rain on Wednesday.
Four starters, with Pring back in action, and firing on all cylinders. Don & Peter proved too good for Damien & Greg, despite being 3 down after 4 holes. Pring's handicap irregularity is to be the subject of a judicial review.
Peter: 36 points (18/18/36)
Birdies: Don on par 3 twelfth. Drove to within a foot of the flag.

Sunday Competition: Murray Bridge
14/09/14: Murray Bridge
At the second attempt, we struck a perfect day at Murray Bridge - 22C and sunny with a very faint breeze. Fairways were in very good condition, but the greens had been cored recently (true, but very slow).
Only nine starters, but reasonable scores considering that many of EET's stars were absent.
Well done to:
Damien 36 points (and a lesson to us all in handicap management)
Kenny and Paul 35
Greg 33
George 32
Long Drive: Bob (the gorilla) Batty the only one to hit the fairway
NTP: George - possibly the only one to hit the green
Birdies:
George - par 5 eighth
Paul - par 3 sixth

Wednesday Competition
27/08/14: North Adelaide
Perfect day for golf. Warm, calm and sunny. Five starters, with Don still slightly incapacitated.
Front nine: Don & Greg (17), from Bronte & Damien (16)
Back nine: Don (18) from Peter (17)
Overall: Don (35) from Greg (30)
Damien's par 3 on the 180m fifth wasn't too shabby.
Don's 35 points was pretty impressive for an invalid.
03/09/14: North Adelaide
Another perfect day for golf. Course is recovering well from winter damage.
Only four starters, with Pring cruising yet again.
Don & Bronte foolishly challenged Damien & Greg, with the predictable outcome. Pretty much all over after 4 holes (just like the Port/Richmond final) with Damien on fire early.
Front nine: Damien (18)
Back nine: Greg (16)
Birdies: Bronte on the par 3 sixteenth. With the flag set in the middle of the back tier, Bronte put his tee shot to within three metres and calmly sank the bending putt.
10/09/14: North Adelaide
Yet another perfect day for golf. 18C and overcast, with a slight breeze.
Only 3 starters with Don AWOL, Pring O/S and Kev still recovering.
Really ordinary scores - clearly missing the talent of the absentees.
Front nine: Damien (16)
Back nine: Greg (18)
Birdies: Greg on the par 4 third and the par 4 fourteenth. Chip ins, so they don't really count - should have been saved for a decent round.
