Overall: Whicker (38) from Batty (37) & Mensforth (34)

Lake Albert and Wednesday Competition
14/02/16: Lake Albert Ambrose
Two teams represented EET at the Lake Albert Ambrose competition on a sunny day in the low 20's with the course in reasonable condition (although the greens proved slightly tricky).
The team of Pring/Gordge/Beggs/Whicker finished 2 under for the day, two strokes off the Ambrose prizemoney but a few ahead of the Milde/Crathern/Townsend/Mensforth team - thereby winning the major trophy.
Well done to Bronte for the accommodation, Brian for the BBQ on Saturday night, and Big Kev for supplying the "Shell Wide World of Golf" video from the late 1950s or early 1960s.
17/02/16: North Adelaide
Just the four starters on a perfect day for golf - mid 20's and calm. Big & Little Kev, Pring & Phil all away - Don, Damien & Bronte busy. Clearly, most of the EET talent was absent.
Front nine: Greg (17) from Bob (15)
Back nine: Bob & Greg (16)
Overall: Greg (33) from Bob (31)
Birdies: Greg on par 4 eleventh
No four point holes.
Next week: North Adelaide, but will confirm day (potentially too hot on Wednesday)

Wednesday Competition
03/02/16: North Adelaide
Eight starters on a remarkably mild (23C) day with a slight breeze. The course was lush and slightly damp after heavy rain during the past few days. The pretty ordinary scores resulted from (i) not enough prizemoney for some and (ii) handicap management prior to the Victor and Lake Albert competitions this month.
Front nine: Bronte (18) from Peter & Greg (17), Damien & Don (16)
Back nine: Bob (17) from Kevin, Greg^& Don (16)
Overall: Greg (33) from Don (32), Peter & Bronte (31)
Birdies:
Greg: Par 5 fifteenth
Four Point Holes: Nil
Amazingly, the team of Pring/Milde snuck in over Boyle/Whicker despite lower individual scores. Fortunately, we don't dwell on injustices such as Bronte's lucky putt on the eighteenth which decided the match.
Next week: 10.30 am North Adelaide
