20/08/17: Mount Compass
Twelve starters on what turned out to be a pleasant day for winter golf, with the course in very good condition considering the recent rain. Played in cool conditions with a moderate breeze, but the rain held off until the drive home.
Another cheap day for the EET, with only two players over the 30 point prize limit. Well done to:
- George Cleland (37 points)
- Kevin Crathern (32)
Birdies:
Ross Townsend: par 3 ninth and par 5 fifteenth
George Cleland: par 5 seventh
Four point holes:
Kevin Crathern: par 4 third
Bob Batty: par 3 fourteenth
Paul Crathern: par 3 twelfth
Long Drives & NTPs:
Craig Burrett (2), George Cleland, Helen Cooper
Highlights:
K Crathern's memorable drive on the par 5 seventh - drove his tee 8 metres (dead centre of the fairway) without making contact with the ball.
