26/10/16:  North Adelaide  (Meister report)

Only 5 starters on a nice day for golf which produced very ordinary scores, except for Damien (41 points).  The old fox obviously had a major memory lapse, forgetting all about handicap management.   He finally remembered after the 16th hole and scrubbed the final two holes, but the damage had been done !!!!

Front nine:  Damien - an outstanding 25 points, from Peter and Bob (17)
Back nine:   Damien (16)
Overall:       Damien (41)

The Milde scoring system for prize money meant that Kevin won the back nine with 11 points........

Four point holes:
Damien:     par 5 second, par 3 sixth
Peter:         par 4 seventeenth
Phil:           par 4 fourth (Eclectic Hole)

Wednesday Competition

19/10/16:  North Adelaide

Eight starters on a lovely day for golf.   Most were in handicap-protection mode prior to the Berri trip, so the scores were pretty ordinary, apart from the Judge (who was almost passable).

Front nine:         Pring (18) from Boyle, Methofer (16)
Back nine:         Boyle (17)
Overall:             Boyle (33) from Pring (31)

Birdies:
Whicker:         par 4 seventeenth

Four Point Holes:
Mensforth:     par 3 twelfth - also an Eclectic Hole

12/10/16:   North Adelaide

Seven starters on a pleasant day for golf, despite the forecast of a 'few showers', including a guest appearance by George Cleland.

The course played fairly long due to the recent wet weather, but the fairways are recovering nicely from the winter punishment.   Scores were dominated once again by "the Machine" - Phil Methofer - with a lazy 40 points, with George and Greg not disgraced.

Back nine:    Cleland (21) from Methofer & Whicker (19), Batty (17), Mensforth (16)
Overall:        Methofer (40) from Cleland (37), Whicker (36)

Mensforth:    par 5 second and par 3 fifth
Milde:           par 4 third

Eclectic holes:
Mensforth:    par 5 on second hole

Wednesday Competition

28/09/16:    North Adelaide  (Pringmeister report)

Only 4 starters on a day prior to the heavens opening up.    Cool to cold in the shade, warm in the sun. with a cool breeze.  No more pick up, clean and place on the fairway, although this may change tomorrow after 60mm of rain. 

Greens were also cored, (and not swept off completely), sanded and fertilised, so the occasional putt headed off at right angles – although it obviously helped Phil...

Pring/Methofer just too good on the day over Mensforth/Batty - 7 up.

Overall:  Methofer (36) from Mensforth 30
4 point holes:   Methofer – Par 3 fifth (plus 8 x 3 point holes!!!)

07/10/16:   Patawalonga (Adelaide Shores)

Only three starters on a Friday (following the downpours earlier in the week).   North Adelaide unavailable.

The weather was excellent, but the tenth hole was out of action, meaning three temporary holes (which meant the scores were fairly meaningless).  However, a nice social day from the white tees.

Mensforth (39 points) from Batty and Whicker (35).
